Eight years ago, with the help of The Tesfa Foundation, we built a school in Kololo, Ethiopia. Kololo is the rural village where my children Meazi and Melese were born.
When it first opened, the school had kids as old as fifteen starting kindergarten. Today the school serves 350 students in grades k-4.
Looking over the hills of Kembata-Tembaro, children at Kololo have access to education and to a library. Last year we added a feeding program three times a week. For many of the children, this is the only food they will have all day.
On December 15th, at 1 pm, we will be spinning to keep this school going. Please join us. Each rider raises a minimum of $250 to reserve their bike!
It costs around $160 to provide a child one year at this school. If you cannot ride, please consider a donation. Thanks so much.
