Did you know that 1 in 7 children experience the death of a parent and/or sibling by the age of 20?
Camp Good Mourning! is a Long Island-based 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides FREE bereavement camp programs for Long Island children who are coping with the death of a parent and/or sibling.
Our team is competing in Camp Good Mourning and LIU Post's CIrcle K! Virtual Super Bowl Wing Eating Team Challenge!
PLEASE support me by pledging $ for every wing I eat. Pledge a $1 a wing or $100 a wing. It's entirely up to you!
Would you rather give a donation instead? You can do that, too! It's totally your choice! Either way, by the time I'm done, I'll be cluckin' like a chicken. JK.
What ever your choice, you will be directly responsible for giving grieving children the opportunity to get caring and compassionate support from trained volunteers through an entire weekend of camp. You will be responsible for giving grieving children the opportunity to meet other kids who are just like them; for giving them the chance to share their grief story . . . perhaps for the first time, to identify and explore their feelings, to learn about healthy and unhealthy coping skills, and to learn about different ways they can stay connected to their loved one . . . even though they are gone.
Tune-in on Super Bowl Sunday at 4pm to watch us chow down wing-after-moutherwatering-wing all in the name of grieving Long Island children.
Camp Good Mourning! . . . Because no child should grieve alone . . . and no wing shall go uneaten.
