Join our spay-and-neuter campaign #48 to sterilize 50 dogs and cats. These animals live in an extremely poor community called Aldea San Miguel Escobar in Antigua Guatemala. $17 fund one surgery and prevent the suffering of dozens of homeless animals. The clinic with occur on July 31, 2018 and will be documented with images and shared with donors.
We are partnering with a local group in the region to aid them and empower them to help fight animal homelessness and abuse. With this effort, we are not only helping animals but also the communities from these extremely low-income places where the cost of a sterilization surgery is simply prohibited. Animals have a tough life where they scrub the garbage for food and fight over it. Sadly, they also mate there on the streets. Spay and neuter addresses the root of the problem as we are preventing so many unwanted souls from being born destined to a life in the streets filled with hunger, illness, neglect and human cruelty. We have the power today to prevent so much suffering.
See images from one of our previous clinics in this Facebook folder. To date we have performed 2,194 sterilization surgeries in 47 campaigns.
