Spaulding’s Boston Shamrocks Sled Hockey Team is Beantown’s home for competitive sled hockey. In 2014 the Dr. Bernard R. and Edna M. Sears Adaptive Hockey Program gave local athletes with disabilities the opportunity to play Boston’s favorite winter sport. Now, going into its fifth year, and through the collaborative efforts of Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers and Boston Shamrocks Hockey Club, The Spaulding Shamrocks continue to grow and develop. The team competes in the Northeast Sled Hockey League Adult Atlantic Division, playing games in five different states in the region. Last season was the first full year of our developing youth team, The Spaulding Sledgehogs. Both teams will compete again at the National Disabled Sled Hockey Festival this April in Pennsylvania. To make all of this happen we ask for your support! All contributions directly support the teams’ ice, travel, and competition costs as well as provide opportunities for athletes of all abilities to Find their Strength through hockey!
