This is how I will always remember Dad.....Happy.
On July 5th 2018, my father suffered a hemorrragic stroke at his home. When my sisters and I arrived at his bedside, he woke up for several precious minutes, not able to speak, but letting us know that he was fighting to live. Four short weeks later, he passed away peacefully at the age of 78.
What I love most about my Dad is his kindness. He never had a lot to say, but rather expressed himself in his actions, in how he he lived his life, and how he treated others. He truly had a heart of gold. I know my dad would want to help anyone dealing with the devastating effects of stroke or brain injury.
I am raising money for Spaulding Rehab to honor him and to help those still fighting. Dad, I miss you every day.
Running for those who can’t, Spaulding's Race for Rehab team has raised nearly $5 million in honor of Spaulding’s patients and caregivers.
Every dollar raised by the Race for Rehab team will support Spaulding’s mission to improve the quality of life for persons recovering from or learning to live fully with illness, brain injury or disability. Your support and investment will help our team reach the finish line and our patients find their strength.
