SPARK = Successful Positive Authentic Resilient Kids
Our mission is to build a kind, resilient, welcoming community where no one feels alone, bullied, unsupported or unconnected. Join us!
SPARK Kindness, Inc. began in 2010 as a grassroots community effort to address bullying and cyberbullying. Now a 4,200 member non-profit organization, we provide free programs and resources, build awareness, and create positive community partnerships to support families.
Our Programs
Resilient Parent, Resilient Child FREE Speaker Series
Local and national experts speak about topics that support family and youth resilience, including mental health, substance abuse prevention, healthy relationships, and digital citizenship.
Natick/MetroWest Anti-Bullying Coalition (ABC)
Founded by SPARK, this coalition of more than 60 member organizations includes parents, schools, town officials, coaches, artists, faith leaders, non-profits and businesses. The ABC works together to take a strengths- and community-based approach to addressing and preventing bullying.
Workshops & FREE Monthly Parent Group
Often led by community members, various SPARK programs provide an opportunity to put principles such as empathy, courage and inclusion into practice while building connection among parents and caregivers. Community Tools & Resources SPARK provides accessible online resources in support of parents and caregivers who are addressing a variety of challenges and skillbuilding needs.
SPARK Network
SPARK offers empowered neutrality— a neutral yet active role that allows us to build trust and connect people and organizations that might not necessarily communicate and work together. On a pilot basis, we have begun to build a network of connected organizations throughout MetroWest that work together, at the grassroots level, to support kindness, resilience, and inclusion.
In the words of a SPARK Member:
"Thanks to the top-notch lectures and workshops I have attended to date, I have learned how to better manage my son’s anxiety (and) hone my kids’ executive functioning skills... Do I implement everything that I’ve learned from SPARK? I try. Sometimes I fail; other times I succeed; and admittedly, many times I forget! Still...I try. And that is what SPARK teaches each and every one of us; how to try and make ourselves better as a parent, teacher, aunt, uncle, neighbor...’It takes a village."’
