SouthAsians Against Hunger
This is a campaign to fight the rapidly growing hunger crisis in our neighborhoods in South Florida. COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on Florida and resulted in unprecedented job losses and an alarming rise in food insecurity and the scourge of hunger. Tragically, one third of the victims are young children.
We are a growing group of concerned SouthAsians who want to help reduce the distressing rise of hunger. We appeal to you to join our efforts and become part of our group by making a donation to this urgent campaign.
All donations are tax exempt and 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Palm Beach County Food Bank (PBC Food Bank), a 501(c)3 organization in Lantana, FL. They are an umbrella organization which feeds more than 200,000 people EVERY WEEK through130 Soup Kitchens, Homeless Shelters, Food Pantries, Schools and Churches in South Florida. Tragically, 60,000 of these are Children and another 60,000 are Senior Citizens.
The PBC Food Bank has Four Distinct Programs:
· Food Recovery & Distribution
· Food 4 Our Kids
· Marjorie S. Fisher Nutrition Drive, and
· Benefits Outreach
The growing COVID19 crises has created an unprecedented demand for food. Every Dollar donated provides Three Meals.
The need is desperate, so please donate generously to feed our fellow residents in South Florida.
Once the campaign is concluded information on the total amount collected through your collective generosity, as well as proof of 100% of the donated amount having been received by the Palm Beach County Food Bank, will be emailed to each one of you.
Thank you for your generosity and your support!
With your help fewer families and children will go Hungry tonight!
