I will be running the 2020 Boston Marathon!! This has been a dream of mine since the days of watching the marathon in college from Kenmore Square and cheering the runners on! And I’m excited to be running in support of a great organization- South Shore Hospital Cancer Care Services. While I have been very fortunate in my life to have had limited direct impacts from cancer, I know so many others have not been as fortunate. I’m excited to support programs to help cancer patients, both through my day job at a biotech looking to advance new cancer therapies and now through my athletic and fundraising efforts as well.
Please consider donating to this great cause- any amount will help as I work towards my fundraising goal!
The Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital provides world-leading cancer care programs to South Shore communities. This unique collaboration among three organizations makes it possible to offer many advanced cancer treatments, including groundbreaking trials without going into Boston.
South Shore Health is a not-for-profit, that has relied on the support of our community to fulfill our mission of healing, caring and comforting. The South Shore Health Foundation is proud to be an official partner of John Hancock in the Marathon Non-Profit Program for the 2020 Boston Marathon®.
Each year, more than 1,000 new patients seek care at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital. Funds raised by our team support those patients.
Over the last eight years, our Boston Marathon team has raised more than $1 million for care in our community.
