I have been dreaming about running the Boston Marathon for years now and this year that dream is finally coming true, thanks to the South Boston Neighborhood House (aka, The Ollie). I have so many mixed emotions about the journey I'm about to experience but I'm most of all thankful and extremely excited!
I'm so honored to be running my first ever marathon for a city I love and to also be supporting the community I've lived in for a little over two years now. The Ollie is a non-profit located in my neighborhood serving it's mission to support family and neighborhood life in South Boston. They have devoted over 115 years to meet the needs of the community and offer programs for everyone in South Boston, from infants, to children, to teens, to seniors.
Southie holds a special place in my heart and I am so happy to be able to give back to such an amazing community. Please consider donating to my fundraising goal - I have a long way to go but I know that I have the support of so many amazing people! I'll be sure to post updates on my training progress throughout the next 6 months and stay tuned for some fun fundraising events I already have planned.
