Why I chose to join YCore and believe in its vision?
I feel very privileged for all the opportunities I’ve received in life - to be well- educated and work with smart people in the technology industry. I’ve leveraged this to build a strong foundation for my career and in the process met some amazing, inspiring people. It continues to be a huge motivating factor to pursue my dreams of using technology to solve problems.
Living in the Bay Area and being a witness to homelessness, rising costs of living, increasing mental health issues makes me feel really sad about the situation around us. I want to use the privilege I’ve had in life to make a difference. My wish is to help create a world where there’s equity and happiness for all.
Being a YCore member, I stay inspired and impressed by the impact a group of young professionals have on communities in need. The YCore community has felt relatable, structured, and impactful. Through the Fellowship, I've met like minded individuals who are motivated to make a change in the world for the better, connect with communities in need, gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced today, and worked on offering a solution for it.
I feel so inspired, and motivated, and positive about solving social issues. I know change is possible, and I played a role in enabling that.

YCore has been invaluable in creating a platform that helped me connect with Restore Oakland.
