In 2017, after three decades of asking doctors why I had trouble breathing when I exercised, I had open heart surgery to repair a hole in my heart… a birth defect which had gone undetected.
Now, I can breathe easily when I exercise, and I love to “tap it back” at SOUL!
Join us at 1 pm on November 3rd at SoulCycle West Village for a charity ride taught by my dear friend, the legendary Tomas Mikuzis-Boston, to raise money for the American Heart Association (AHA). We will sweat, cheer, challenge ourselves, support each other, push beyond our limits and celebrate life… all to the beat of fabulous music. And of course, after class, we will toast our accomplishments.
Here’s why I ride: https://www.heart.org/en/news/2019/07/03/doctors-shrugged-off-athletes-gasping-until-one-heart-surgeon-listened
Why would you ride?
… Ride because you’re a warrior who conquered heart disease.
… Ride because you love someone who battled a heart condition.
… Ride because you adore a dance party on a bike.
… Ride because you can’t imagine missing a class taught by Tomas.
Donate because you care.
Front Row (21 bikes): $500
Second Row (20 bikes): $300
Back Row (20 bikes): $100
Supporter, not a rider: donations of any amount welcomed and greatly appreciated
Thank you for supporting the AHA, SoulCycle and members of the “zipper club”, people like me who proudly bear the scars of open heart surgery.
And please feel free to leave a comment about why you ride! I’d love to know!!!
*If you want to donate at higher amounts but aren’t comfortable riding to the beat in the front row, please add a note to your donation and I will arrange your seat accordingly.
