Hello!
I am so excited to announce that I will be heading back home to Kenya for more missions work this September. This time, however, I will be serving in Nanyuki with She Saves A Nation.
From the She Saves A Nation Website: " Adolescent girls in displacement face heightened risks of exploitation including sexual abuse and gender-based violence, forced marriage, and early pregnancy. Why Girls? Why Refugee Girls? These girls are the forgotten ones. Their lives often in limbo, displacement, danger & uncertainty. Part of our creed is that we aim to be a voice for the voiceless. As we advocate for refugee & IDP rights, we empower their voice by giving them opportunities they would not have access to."
While in Kenya, we will be serving these marginalized women and girls. One of my life verses is 1 Peter 4:10, in which it is shared that we need to use our talents and gifts to help serve others. I believe this wholeheartedly and which is why I am very excited to be going on this trip and working with these women and girls.
Thank you in advanced to those who will be donating, it is much appreciated! Also please keep not only me but the team I will be traveling within your prayers! All donations are tax deductible through Ngoma Kenya :)
