This Giving Tuesday, help some of CISPES' closest supporters strengthen the Salvadoran popular movement as they face off against the new right-wing administration headed by President Nayib Bukele, and supported by the U.S. government.
Help us reach our goal of raising $7,000 today. All proceeds will go towards supporting
· Water defenders in the anti-privatization of water struggle The strengthening of women leadership in unions, particularly women-led organizations and unions that support sex workers, garment, maquila, and domestic workers The political leadership development of working class youth, LGBTI and feminist community leaders Water defenders in the anti-privatization of water struggle

Though these are difficult times since movement organizers are facing political and physical dangers, we know the popular movement can defeat any attempts to privatize public services and natural resources if we do our part. CISPES has accompanied the popular movement since 1980, and we will not let our allies down now!
I have been an intern for CISPES since June and as a US born Salvadoran, being involved in CISPES' work has created a stronger connection between me in El Salvador in a way I have never experienced . CISPES is now an important part of my life and I hope to continue to support the organization in any way possible throughout the future . i hope you can help me with supoorting CISPES for Giving Tuesday. My personal goal is $250, but we are all in this together and this year, CISPES chapters have committed to increasing the financial support that goes directly to social movement organizations doing the important work on the ground in El Salvador! We need to support each other’s struggles against corporate backed attacks against our communities! The projects CISPES supports directly fund the leadership of women in the labor movement, emergency mobilizing against right wing efforts to privatize water, and political leadership development of working class LGBTI folks in El Salvador.
