Every year, GISH Scavenger Hunt participants come together to “Change A Life,” uniting to make a profound difference in the lives of people facing extraordinary hardship.
For this special Halloween Haunt we’re celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Random Acts, a charity that strives to “conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time” by empowering people to help each other.
Over the past decade, this 100% volunteer-run organization has taken on ambitious projects like building a children’s center for orphans in Haiti and helping Syrian refugees, but they also help in less high-profile ways that still mean the world to someone, like buying sneakers for a child experiencing homelessness. No matter the size of the project, the central purpose of Random Acts has always been to facilitate kind people helping one another. So in this moment of historic crisis, we want to pool our resources and build up the fund that empowers all of us to help those most in need in our communities: the General Fund.
The Random Acts General Fund supports a wide variety of Random Acts projects, including the Acts Program. The Acts Program empowers anyone in the world to do an act of kindness in their own community. Maybe you want to help your local animal shelter, an elderly neighbor who needs a new heater before winter, or a family who just needs some groceries to get by. You can apply for an Act to get funding and help them!
Join us in celebrating Random Acts’ 10-year anniversary and help our GISH Family & Random Acts to continue to do good for years to come, no matter what the future throws at us. Thank you for your support!
