Soccer Without Borders aims to build a more inclusive world through soccer. Our mission is to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing under-served youth a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion and personal success. This January, SWB will host the 8th Annual Youth Festival in Kampala, Uganda. The week-long event brings together newcomer and refugee youth from Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, Somalia, Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda with SWB’s local staff and volunteer coaches for a week of soccer camp, cultural exchange, and team-building activities.
Soccer Without Borders currently operates 7 year-round programs in 3 countries. SWB program locations include Boston, MA, Baltimore, MD, Greeley, CO, Oakland, CA, Seattle, WA, Granada, Nicaragua, and Kampala, Uganda. In a team-based environment, youth participate in a combination of our five activities: soccer, academic support, cultural exchange, team building and civic engagement.
