In honor of Brenda McGruder, AIA participates in the American Cancer Society Denim Day during the month of October. Brenda not only used to host this day in the past for the AIA office, but she was very passionate for the cause.
Denim Day began with a simple concept – if each of us takes a small step to help eliminate breast cancer, collectively, those steps will take us far in achieving our goal. Employees at a private company got together to ask coworkers for donations to “go casual” for the cause. And what’s more casual than denim?
To support the program, staff are allowed to wear jeans to work for one designated day in exchange for $5 donation to the American Cancer Society and breast cancer research.
This year AIA will be particpating virtually with the team wearing jeans while working from home.
Please join us in this cause on Friday, October 16th, 2020 as we remember one of AIA’s longest serving and most treasured employees.
