Dear Supporters, After many years of attempting to rescue all homeless pets in Coweta County, our clinic was created by Newnan Coweta Humane Society in 2010 as a means to end pet overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter. Serving low income families across twelve counties, some of the patients come into our hospital in Newnan, others on our Snip Ship. We have performed more than 56,000 surgeries to date.
On the afternoon of March 18, 2020, our transport vehicle was destroyed when a dump truck crossed the center line and hit our vehicle head on. Our driver, Todd Shaddix, was killed immediately. There will be a celebration of life planned sometime in the Fall of 2020. There were no pets on board, as they had just been reunited with their families.
We did receive some insurance money towards replacing the vehicle, but we do not have enough to get the type of vehicle we need to continue the high-volume service that is so needed in our region. We are asking everyone to give a little, to HELP a lot. Please donate – every dollar counts – and let’s continue serving this region and put an end to homeless pets and senseless euthanasia.
Our original fundraising goal was $20,000, and we have raised $4,828 so far. Please HELP us raise the additional $15,172 to complete our goal! If we receive any funds above the cost of the vehicle, Todd’s family has requested we use it towards spay/neuter of pets from low income families.
