Today 1 in every 45 children are diagnosed with autism or are in spectrum. It’s more common in boys compared to girls. Every 1 in 32 boys are on the spectrum diagnosed within the age of 3-17. Intervention can involve behavioral treatments, medicines or both. Many persons with autism have additional medical conditions such as sleep disturbance, seizures and gastrointestinal (GI) distress. Addressing these conditions can improve attention, learning and behaviors.
Early intervention is also a key to any kind of delays in children from as young as 18 months – is effective for improving IQ, language ability, and social interaction.
Let’s make a beautiful world for people in spectrum and spread the awareness.
