Small Triumph Big Speech is a podcast raising money for domestic workers.
Wait, so my donation is going to a freaking podcast?!
Nope. By donating here you're supporting domestic workers through the Coronavirus Care Fund set up by the National Domestic Workers Alliance which, per their website, "will provide immediate financial support for domestic workers, and enable them to stay home and healthy — protecting themselves, their families and their communities while slowing the spread of the Coronavirus."
Okay.... then how is the podcast related?
Small Triumph Big Speech is a show that takes someone's everyday accomplishment (taking out the trash, making the bed, folding laundry) and then celebrates it with a big, epic, sincere speech. If you donate through this fundraiser you're eligible to be a guest on the show.
Ohhhhh. So you're just incentivizing donations to the NDWA?
But, like, why?
Because nannies, house cleaners, in-home aides, and others are deeply affected by Coronavirus. Many domestic workers don't have job security, paid leave, or access to healthcare. I'm just trying to do what I can to help out.
Okay. So who are you??
I'm Dylan Marron. I'm not affiliated with the National Domestic Workers Alliance. I just think they're doing important work and I'm trying to find a creative way to support them.
Do these donations go directly to the NDWA?
Are you getting a cut of the donations?
Umm. Why would I donate here and not through their website?
Because this page allows us to track how much money listeners of this show have raised *and* it allows me to randomly select guests for the show. (But FYI: if you'd rather, you can totally donate directly on their website!)
If I donate directly on their website can I still be eligible to be on the podcast?
No. But you'll still get those sweet sweet karma points!
If I donate here do I need to be on the podcast?
Lol. Not at all. You can donate here and opt out of being a guest.
Where can I listen to it?
No problem. Thanks for reading this!
Cool. Gonna scroll back up now.
