I'm a 4th year medical student looking to serve as a physician in the US Navy, but before I do that, I wanted to ride my bike across the country and raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project.
I had the privilege of working with injured veterans this past year, and I was overwhelmed with how positive these men and women were. It was so much fun to meet them because I knew they would have no problem with a challenge, and their determination and high spirits made it such that there was no such thing as a bad day. I wanted to find some way to help injured veterans despite having to go back to school for the time being so I've decided that biking across the country to raise money is something of which I am capable. And the whole theme of this journey is that the small actions that a person takes on a daily basis can add up to large accomplishments if a person remains dedicated and persistent.
On that note, if you're feeling up to donating, thank you so much! If not, that's okay too! I would love some virtual high-fives, and if it's easy, you can share this page with your friends and family who may be interested in donating.
Thank you, everyone!
