We will be hosting a yoga class at Fireshaper Tenafly's non-hot room for a yoga class for all on Saturday January 20 at 11 am for Do It For the Love (doitforthelove.org), an organization that makes live concerts, by any artist, available to those who need the healing power of music the most.
Do It For The Love Co-Founders Michael Franti & Sara Agah Franti provide the opportunity for healing to take place, families to bond, and for lifelong memories to be made - all through the experience of live music. Do It For The Love is a non-profit wish-granting organization that brings people living with life-threatening illnesses, children with severe challenges and wounded veterans to live concerts.
Our Do It For the Love yoga fundraiser is an example of the simple joy felt in moving and practicing together, as well as a testament to the healing power of yoga, music and community. Through our love of dance, yoga and music we thought this was a great opportunity to share and hopefully raise awareness and money for other people who would benefit from the concert experience.
Music helps us all feel alive!
After yoga we will also be sorting bottle caps for Caps Of Love (http://www.capsoflove.com) Caps or Chariots Of Love's mission is to provide FREE wheelchairs, and wheelchair repairs, to handicapped children in the USA under the age of 21. This is funded by tax deductible public donations, grants, and plastic recycling proceeds. Thousands of adults and children across the entire USA have learned very valuable environmental lessons in learning to identify their recycling, humanitarian lessons in giving back in their communities to those in great need, and empowerment of making a change in the lives of others through their own actions.
Please join us first for a yoga class for Do It for the Love organization followed by sorting plastic bottle caps for Caps of Love on Saturday the 20th. If you cannot attend, please consider donating any amount.
