The first International Special Olympics Games were held in 1968 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Over the years, Special Olympics Chicago has served thousands of intellectually disabled athletes.
The Special Olympics is an organization with deep Chicago roots and what began as an idea for a simple track-and-field event at Soldier Field has grown into an international event.
In support of that simple track-and-field event that launched the Special Olympics, I am running in this year’s Chicago Marathon on October 13, 2019 to help raise funds for this worthy cause.
If you would like to join me in raising funds for this extraordinary organization, please follow the link to donate.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
See you at the finish line.
