Shreveport Youth Boxing Club’s goal is to inspire young people to become good citizens of society; teaching them respect, self-esteem, and goal setting by training them to channel their energy through our free amateur boxing program. In our boxing program, we attempt to fill the gap of idle time that follows the school day and summer days with fellowship and training. By encouraging attendance and participation, we are bridging that gap. Every day after school, from 5pm-7pm, the kids come in for training and are given goals for improvement. This program works through positive reinforcement and purpose filled time. This program serves kids from age 8-18, males and females.
These kids are determined to make it to the Summer Olympics!! They compete in regional, state and national tournaments throughout the year to qualify. Covid has slowed the pace of tournaments in 2020, but they have their eyes set on 2021!! They have a goal and a passion. We are here to foster and lead them in the right direction. The kids’ motto is: "WHY NOT US!"
100% of the funds donated go directly to the program. Please consider donating to Shreveport Youth Boxing Club through GoFundMe and helping these kids reach their goal.
