SWR HS Soccer Fundraiser

  Sep 29 2018 . 250A NY-25A, Shoreham, NY 11786, USA

Wesley Pase, team captain for the Shoreham Wading River HS soccer team, has organized a soccer doubleheader to support the programs of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Wesley is also Lead Petty Officer for the Theodore Roosevelt Division of the US Navy Sea Cadet Corps. This Division’s color guard will be on site to present the colors at the event’s opening ceremonies.

Wesley selected Tunnel to Towers upon reading about what it did for the families who lost loved ones from the 106th Rescue Wing (Westhampton Beach) in Iraq. Among those who perished were Master Sgt. Christopher Raguso, a National Guard airman and FDNY lieutenant, and Tech Sgt. Dashan Briggs. The Foundation immediately pledged to pay off the mortgages held on the homes of Master Sgt. Raguso and Tech Sgt. Briggs. It raised over $700,000 for this initiative.  Wesley felt a fundraiser would be a great way to honor these men and all of those who serve, while helping the Tunnel to Towers Foundation continue to carry out its very important mission.
