We are beginning the monumental task of restoring the Ship Hector--the #GreatBigLift on June 2, 2020 was our first step.
The Hector has often been called 'Canada's Mayflower"--it was the first ship to bring Scottish emigrants directly from Scotland to Nova Scotia in 1773.
The Ship Hector Society runs the Hector Heritage Quay--home to the Ship Hector--with all volunteers and we need your help to make sure the ship is fully restored in time for the 250th anniversary of the landing in 2023. All donations over $20 will receive an income tax receipt. The Society is a registered not for profit charity.
