“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” -Matthew 5:16
The verse above has been my anthem! Never in a million years would I have thought that being a three time brain tumor survivor would be a part of my story, yet I am grateful. Some may think that hearing “you’re going to need brain surgery” one time is unimaginable, but hearing those words uttered on three different occasions?! I can honestly say I never had a spirit of fear, and I know that was truly from God. I had people all around the world praying for me, which was truly humbling. Over the course of several years, I had three different surgeries spanning from Arizona (June 1, 2010) , Illinois (July 29, 2016) and Texas (December 16, 2016). I remember my mom telling me after my last surgery, “No matter where your health takes you, you need to live life and live it to the fullest!” I feel blessed to say that all of my MRI’s since my last surgery have come back clear, and ALL GLORY goes to God. He is the great physician! I don’t know what my future holds, but I know WHO holds my future. My story is a story of HOPE, not fear, JOY, not sorrow, and REDEMPTION because of Jesus. Whatever you may be going through, remember to BE YOU BRAVELY!
