Sheridan Japanese School is a non-profit, public charter school located in Sheridan, Oregon; currently serving students in 4th through 12th grades.
There is no tuition, and all are welcome as the school serves everyone on an equal basis.
The student to staff ratio is about 1 to 13, and our curriculum primarily focuses on Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science, Japanese History & Language.
Our school also offers college prep, plus a number of elective options: Taiko Drum Team (traditional Japanese drumming), Robotics, Art, Cooking, and even Dungeons & Dragons!
Since SJS is a public school, we do receive state funding. But state funding is limited to 85% to 95% of what the state provides to traditional public schools.
This is where we need your help to close the budget gap.
When you donate, it helps us get to our goals to keep our school moving forward. Help us to:
· Provide programs, electives, and Japanese instruction, especially for high school students
· Coordinate participation in regional sports programs, so our students can play
· Strengthen our ability to offer career technical programs for our students
· Reach out to new families
Any donation of $10, $20, $40, or other dollar amount will help tremendously, and is greatly appreciated.
