I am excited to be running the 2020 Boston Marathon as a part of Thorty's Team. The Shawn Thornton Foundation is dedicated to finding cures to Parkinson's and cancer, as well as relieving the burden that patients and their families face.
I'm honored to join this cause as I've seen the impact of these diseases on members of both my and my wife's extended families. I'm running the Boston Marathon for my Aunt Hillary, Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Terry, and late Aunt Tiffany. Studies show that 54% of people have had members of their own families diagnosed with cancer as well.
Want to join me in making a difference? Every donation of any size will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Your donation is fully tax deductible and will help us get one stride closer to the cures to these diseases.
More information: The Shawn Thornton Foundation is dedicated to helping find cures for diseases close to Shawn's heart, specifically, Parkinson's and cancer. After losing his grandmother to a 14-year battle with Parkinson's and hearing the touching stories of so many cancer patients and their families during his hopsital visits, Shawn was inspired to take the next step in his charitable efforts. He founded the Shawn Thornton Foundation with the mission to help cure life-threatening diseases, specifically Parkinson's and cancer.
The Foundation will work towards this mission by raising awareness, funding innovative research and helping to relieve the burden and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
