I am excited to share with you that I am an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon!
I have already begun to train for my race and am doing it in support of an amazing organization - Sharsheret - a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage —before, during, and after diagnosis.
It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret because Rochelle, its founder, was a classmate of mine in law school and my sister Ellen is its Director of Campus and Community Engagement.
I ran New York in 1995 (a lifetime ago) and have been an active paticipant in races in my home state of Colorado as a runner and a civic supporter, serving in the past few years as the Chair and Past Chair of the Board of the Colfax Marathon, the non-profit organization overseeing Denver's only marathon and biggest race weekend - now 20,000 runners strong across multiple events on race weekend.
It's time to take on New York again.
By taking on this personal challenge and joining with the other members of this Team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to greatly exceed!) in support of Sharsheret’s breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge, ask for corporate matching for your gift too! All contributions are tax-deductible.
Thank you, in advance, for your support!
