HDIF-USA has launched its 2nd annual crowdfunding campaign. This year’s beneficiary is the Berd Women’s Resource Center Foundation, which operates on the frontlines of Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan.
Established in 2011, the Center provides jobs in handicraft and berry production, business training, health & wellness support, and advancement of women’s rights and civic participation.
This is an inspiring story of courage and perseverance for the women of this region, which is often in the crossfire of the conflict between the two countries.
Today, the Berd Women's Resource Center is expanding! The Foundation just purchased a building with lots more space, but needs lots of work. HDIF-USA is crowdfunding to raise the money needed to renovate their building and prepare an organic berry garden.
The goal of $14,000 will pay for:
1. Complete plumbing, irrigation, septic, and water system
2. Complete electrical system
3. Heating, air conditioning, and ventilation
4. Plaster for all interior walls
5. All windows and flooring
6. All doors and fixtures
As a special "thank you" for your generous support, HDIF-USA will send donors of $100+ an iconic Berd bear keytag. For contributions of $500+, HDIF-USA will send donors handmade fruit finger puppets in a lovely keepsake box (as shown in the photo).
Donations to HDIF-USA directly impact HDIF's mission to create jobs and economic independence for women in Armenia. Donations are tax-deductible in the U.S. (Tax Id. 82-1966242). HDIF-USA retains 7% of charitable contributions for compliance with 501(c)3 regulations. U.S.-based donors will receive an acknowledgement letter for tax purposes.
Campaign ends March 31, 2019
