My Mom (aka the greatest mom ever), Michele Conard, was a five year breast cancer survivor. Today, March 26, would have been her 66th birthday, and unfortunately March 27 will mark the one year anniversary of her passing. Mom loved the beginning of spring more than just about anything, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her will tell you that she was famous on Facebook for her spring countdown. So, instead of letting this be a sad time, I want to celebrate Mom's beautiful, selfless life by doing something good and helping fight breast cancer.
There are three fundraisers in total, each to benefit a smaller organization that directly helps breast cancer survivors. The first, Khemo Buddys (https://www.khemobuddys.org/), was especially close to my Mom's own heart and sends Buddy Bags to chemotherapy patients, containing snacks, activity books, blankets, and socks.
If this or another fundraiser is already fully funded, please consider donating to one of the other two first:
This is the first annual event on Ian Curtis Is Hungry in honor of my mom, so we are starting small to begin with, but every donation will receive a link to a special Spotify playlist as a little sign of our appreciation.
Thank you so much!
