SFAI Alumni Fund for Students in Need
The Alumni of the San Francisco Art Institute are rallying support for the first SFAI Alumni Fund for Students in Need (Alumni Fund) to support tuition grants for students enrolling at SFAI in the Fall 2021 semester. Help preserve the remarkable 150-year tradition in which we have all had the good fortune to participate.
Gifts to the Alumni Fund will help these artists to pursue their visions and contribute to the future of art, our city and our culture.
We want to raise as much financial support as we can by March 1st 2021 to help as many students as possible.
No gift is too small -- or too large! -- and all donations help us toward our goal of 100% alumni participation. Gifts to this fund are tax deductible. Support the next generation and keep the arts alive and thriving.
SF Artists Alumni - Alumni for future Alumni
This fundraising drive is organized and endorsed by SF Artists Alumni (SFAA) which is an independent non-profit SFAI alumni group working in partnership with the San Francisco Art Institute.
About the San Francisco Art Institute
Founded in 1871 by artists and community leaders with a cultural vision for the West, the San Francisco Art Institute—first as a cultural center and then a fine arts college—has produced generations of creative leaders who have challenged convention and shaped the cultural life of the Bay Area, the United States, and the world.
Artists at SFAI have spearheaded art movements including fine art photography, the Beat movement, Abstract Expressionism, Bay Area Figuration, Funk art, avant-garde film, Conceptualism, and video and performance art, and they continue to help define contemporary art and the role of artists in today’s global society.
