Here’s a New Way To Celebrate Mother’s Day. Help Send a Mom To College.
Honor the mothers and meaningful women in your life by donating to ANSWER Scholarship for Mother’s Day this year! ANSWER provides mothers raising school-age children in the Carolinas with scholarships, mentoring, and professional development support to help them achieve their dream of earning a college degree. Donate in honor or memory of your mother, aunt, grandma, or other impactful woman and help us reach our goal of providing one $5,000 scholarship to a deserving mom.
We know that many are struggling due to the impact of COVID-19. When we emerge from this crisis, the economy may be even more challenging for single moms and other families working hard to build a better life for themselves and their children. Moms will need college scholarships and mentoring from ANSWER more than ever. Please help us honor all mothers by sharing the gift of education.
For each donation, we will email an honoree of your choice (mother, sister, teacher, neighbor, friend) a Mother’s Day thank you note. For each donation of $100 or more, the honoree will be mailed a special letter with the option to include a customized message from you.
**After you make a donation, please use the "Choose an Honoree" button above to provide us with their contact information (or yours if you prefer to send directly).**
Thank you for celebrating and supporting our moms!
More about ANSWER Scholarship, Inc:
When you educate a mom, you educate her children. Our mission is to help women raising school-age children in fulfilling their dream of earning a college degree, while creating the desire, expectation, and priority of a college education for their children to follow in their footsteps.
ANSWER has funded 156 college scholarships to 89 local moms since our founding in 2006.
One of our scholars, Aida Alcala, is graduating this May from Belmont Abbey College and was recently featured in the Gaston Gazette. Read her story here.
We’ve helped remarkable mothers in the Charlotte region earn college degrees and become strong and self-sufficient. Their children are inspired to follow their moms’ example and work harder in school. You can learn more about their stories here.
ANSWER scholars have a graduation rate of more than 80 percent, compared to the national graduation rate of 39 percent for non-traditional students.
Our scholars have graduated from UNC Charlotte, Winthrop University, Johnson C. Smith University, and many other colleges and universities. Some scholars have gone on to earn master’s degrees. All are prepared to develop careers in the fields of their choice.
We are proud to influence economic and social mobility in our community by helping to educate one mother at a time.
