Since the start of the pandemic, public school students in India have not received real-time instruction, which is 15 months of no substantial schooling. The government recently decided to reopen schools for virtual classes starting June 1st, but because of the pandemic, it is difficult for families to procure school supplies. In the community of Wayanad, India, many of the families Profugo works with are daily wage earners, whose livelihoods have been hit hard due to the Pandemic. We are working with stationary manufacturers to provide supplies to 900 families in the region, with a goal of raising $2,000 by the end of the month. Please join us as we raise funds to support these students in need! Profugo will be offering a week of virtual events June 21-25. We hope to see you there!
