Every spring break the junior class of the Rhonda Walker Foundation visits several colleges and universities all across the country with the Empowerment College Tour. Our teens interact with college students and facility to learn about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, academics and campus life. This unique opportunity gives them a real hands on engaging and life changing experience that helps to prepare them for the transition from high school to college.
It's cost $650.00 per student for transportation, hotels and meals. This year the foundation plans to send 16 RWF juniors on the tour and with your help we hope to raise $10,400.00 to cover all the expenses for the trip. We thank you in advance for any donation you can provide.
The Rhonda Walker Foundation now in its 15th year has 100% high school graduation and college enrollment rates among teens completing our award winning five-year Girls into Women Program. Our program is structured around five core program pillars: College Prep; Personal Development; Career Development; Health and Wellness; and Community Outreach and Cultural Awareness.
