Aloha all! My name is Laine Spurlock and this summer I have the opportunity to travel to the island of Kaua'i, located in the state of Hawai'i, with my Boys & Girls Club! I was chosen, along with 7 other youth, to participate in a service learning project at the Boys & Girls Club of Hawai'i. While there I will also learn about the culture, history, and traditions of the native Hawaiian people. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel out of state, and while we are engaging in various fundraising activities, any funding that friends and family can donate will make a huge impact. To prepare for my trip, I've begun to learn a bit about Hawaiian Culture. They have something known as 'Olelo No'eau, which loosely translates as "words of wisdom". One 'Olelo No'eau I've learn is "Pupukahi I Holomua" which means "unite to move forward." We are uniting on this trip to give back to keiki, youth, on the island of Kaua'i. This trip will not only impact me, but them as well. Please help me make this trip a reality by donating to this campaign. Mahalo, thank you, for any amount you can donate.
