Paula Stakley: Paula has a serious love of hummus, bordering on an addiction to the tasty chickpea tahini goodness. After having served the residents of the community at the library for the past 19 years (most of those as Assistant Director) she could fill a library with the stories she could tell.... but she is sworn to secrecy by library privacy laws. So, instead, she assists with other shenanigans (her favorite word, by the way), such as lip sync battles and "naked" shelf dances (minds out of the gutter! More of a happy dance when the pages get all the books reshelved).
Elizabeth Appleton: Elizabeth loves pie! Blueberry, Banana Cream, Butterscotch, Pumpkin, Quiche....you'd be hard pressed to find a pie that Elizabeth doesn't like. She and Stephanie can wax poetic about the beauty of pie... but we digress. Elizabeth started as a page at the library many years ago and rejoined the team as a library assistant, then Technical Services Supervisor, after returning from several years spent in Scotland. As our local history "guru," she also has a wealth of fascinating stories such as the time she was asked for assistance in researching a house history because the homeowner wanted to be able to address the ghosts by name when telling them to go away!
Tracy Chandler: Tracy has a "thing" for sparkling water.... as in a "$47 worth of sparkling water bottle returns within a week" kind of thing (ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the gist). Tracy is a relatively new addition to the library team as our Teen Services library assistant. Her enthusiasm and craftiness (in the best sense of the word!) have been a welcome addition to our teen room and programming. One word of caution though.... she hates when people refer to each other as "Dawg!"
Mayuri Bodhankar: Mayuri is our Coreographer Extraordinaire who despises broccoli. Mayuri worked for the library several years ago as our Computer Services Library Assistant and just returned to the area after spending time with family after the birth of her son. While she was pregnant she once had a patron tell her she should put her baby in the book drop. Yes... we get some seriously odd suggestions at the library. Thankfully Mayuri chose to NOT follow that advice and brings her delightful son to storytime instead.
Jordan Sanderson: Jordan will admit she can put away an entire box of Wheat Thins in one sitting. They're her favorite! Jordan has been a superstar page at the library for a few years now and thinks the library should consider getting a "library cat." In case you didn't guess, Jordan loves animals and assists at the shelter, too. While under Jordan's care those animals are in great hands!
Stephanie Masin: Stephanie loves goat cheese (and, as mentioned in Elizabeth's bio, pie!... a pie with goat cheese... hmmmm??? maybe). She has also considered that having an alpaca farm might be fun one day. It has been suggested that she should consider adding goats to the alpaca farm... then she could make her own goat cheese! Over the past 8 years a library director, Stephanie has become slightly notorious for corralling the library staff into her "crazy" ideas (like participating in a lip sync battle) and is eternally thankful for their support.
