As many of you know, Scott and I recently adopted a new dog to help fill the hole in our family that was left when Scott's dog, Max, passed away unexpectedly last November. Murray has been an absolute joy and has brough so much love and energy back into our home, helping us to feel whole again.
When we adopted Murray from Second City Canine Rescue, I was floored by the friendliness, professionalism, organization, and thoroughness of this foster-based agency - so I decided to join the team of volunteers at SCCR to help support their mission of "adopting responsibly." The community at SCCR has been really amazing; these are DOG PEOPLE who care deeply that the dogs brought in through the agency find loving, stable homes.
Like many of our stray dogs, SCCR has been without a permanent home for too long. For all of our 8 years, we've been operating entirely out of foster homes. Now it's finally time to come home. Please help us outfit a building that can serve as an adoption center for our magnificent pups. Funds from this drive will be used to help renovate and outfit a house so it can properly to serve as a warm, comforting center to welcome both dogs and humans!
Below are examples of what your donation will support! Gifts of $250 or more will get you a dog tag with your name on it to be displayed at the Adoption Center!
