I opened Second Life Thrift Store in 2017. I have a great desire to help animals and decided to organize a pet food pantry. Soon through word of mouth people began to make personal donations of pet food for people unable to afford food for their companion animals. Recipients of the food are not asked any questions other than; "how many animals do you need food for?
I want to do more,
Demographically and statistically, the southern states have a higher homeless pet population than the northwestern part of the United States. I want to save southern dogs and cats give them the good life they deserve. I moved our thrift store to another building to allow us to turn the old thrift store location into a cat and dog rescue, but I need some help. In rescue it is smart to have at least two impact crates for the dog who is so strong that a regular crate does not make sense for. I intend to save pit bulls. Being the owner of three myself, I love the breed. I intend to save other breeds of dogs and cats too. Funds are needed to complete the old store building and turn it into a rescue and make it functional for the intake of dogs and cats. The goal is to complete a cat room, have a quarantine room and once dogs are quarantined, they will be moved to general population while waiting for a home. A wall needs to go up and rooms need to be painted. Crates need to be bought. These things add up. We must hire a laborer to do some of the necessary construction to make the rescue functional. Like most rescues I will list the dogs I save from high kill shelters on my website and other rescue adoption sites. I also have an ace in the hole because the rescue front room will be a pet store selling necessary items one may need for their fury friends and this will bring traffic in to see the lives that need a home. I plan to have special times for people to play with the animals and I have volunteers lined up to tend to the animal’s other necessary needs like walking, and grooming to name a few. With your help with a contribution I can complete my rescue and begin to save animals. I already have my paperwork in order, my out of state license permit and 501c3 certificate is done. Please consider donating for this good cause. God knows we need more people like me to help animals. I would be so grateful for your generosity.
