In 2006, Hillary Silver was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer. She was 37 at the time, and her two children were 3 and 6. Over the years, the treatments required to manage this incurable and painful disease often became a full time job. Her family learned all-too-well the help required for a young family in need.
Hillary lost her courageous battle in 2015. Her strength, love of life, and humor inspire us every day to help others like her. The Silver Platter Foundation provides goods and services to families affected by adult blood cancer with children living at home. We pay for food, transportation, housekeeping, school supplies, Chromebooks, after-school activities, or any other everyday need.
The Second Annual Silver Platter Foundation Walk for Families will be Sunday, October 6th from 9 AM - 11 AM in Ridgefield, CT (arrive at 9, walk begins at 9:30).
