Sean’s Story: Growing up, things weren’t always easy. Our family faced many challenges, lots of them financial. And as anyone who’s struggled with these things will tell you, money is unavoidably tied to food. Eating is something you constantly need to do, day after day, and that multiplier adds up quickly. BUT we were so incredibly lucky to have the ability to work hard to improve our position.* Not everyone has that option.
God’s Love, We Deliver provides healthy meals to people unable to do so for themselves. Crucial, life-improving service; simple math. $10 equals one meal. I’d love to help provide as many of those meals as possible. And I hope you’ll join me in doing so!
As part of this goal, I’ll be participating in the Ride to Montauk to raise funds for God’s Love, We Deliver. I’ll be riding 108 miles, and pushing through some pain to do it :) Any and all donations are appreciated greatly. $1 is better than $0! The money raised will provide some much needed motivation to keep me pedaling and pedaling until the end.
Let’s go help some people!
*(Complete and total aside: In so many ways, I consider myself luckier to have experienced and participated in the journey described above than if money had never been an issue. It’s shaped who I am in every way, and any success I enjoy is totally because of it. And it’s a huge part of why I need to give back to those in need.)
Nirali’s Story: Although my background is a bit different than Sean’s, our goal is the same: to help as many people as possible. I will be participating in my first ever bike ride for this amazing cause. As many of you know, I am always up for a challenge (and have been searching for a new one after Mt. Kilimanjaro)! Please cheer me on by donating and supporting this important organization.
