Chloe was diagnosed at birth with Atresia, a medical condition causing her to be completely deaf in her left ear and partially deaf in her right ear. At the age of five she began wearing bone-anchored hearing aids, Cochlear Baha’s, that helped her gain almost 100% of her hearing on both sides. Chloe has received two UHCCF medical grants that helped provide financial assistance for the hearing aids and supporting equipment.
Steppin' Up for Kids is UHCCF's 3rd annual virtual walk that allows you to walk anytime or anywhere from May 6th - June 15th. We are challenging each participant to walk 20,000 steps (or more!) by June 15th to support UHCCF and its goal to award 20,000 grants by 2020.
Sign up as an individual, family or team to participate and/or fundraise for UHCCF and make a difference for children in your region, proceeds you raise will stay in your region.
Helping Kids. Changing Lives.
The UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation (UHCCF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health-related service not covered, or not fully covered, by their family's commercial health insurance plan.
Families can receive up to $5,000 annually per child ($10,000 lifetime maximum per child), and do not need to have insurance through UnitedHealthcare to be eligible.
UHCCF was founded in 1999. Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded 18,000 grants valued at $41M to children and their families across the United States. UHCCF's funding is provided by contributions from individuals, corporations and UnitedHealth Group employees.
