Take action in fighting hate and bigotry in South Dakota while lifting the voices of immigrants, refugees, and Muslims in our state.
South Dakota Voices for Peace (and South Dakota Voices for Justice) are sister organizations working together to fight top-down legislated hate while lifting our immigrant, refugee, and Muslim communities from the oppression of systemic racism. Since we launched in 2017, we have defeated 10 out of 12 bigoted bills and resolutions in South Dakota's legislature; hired 4 staff members; become the ONLY organization in South Dakota to provide FREE legal services for SD children in immigration court; produced the stat's first Get Out the Vote campaign in 8 different languages; lifted the voices of 7 immigrant, refugee, and Muslim storytellers; and reached over half a million people through in-person presentations, protests and rallies, and social media engagement. Through a combination of legal services, public education, advocacy, and rapid response, we fight against anti-immigrant, anti-refugee, and anti-Muslim bigotry as we strive to create a South Dakota where the fabric is rich, diverse, and inclusive.
And we need YOU to take action today to continue to grow our work to impact every corner of our state! Your donation will go towards the following SD Voices for Peace programs that directly reach impacted communities:
