In light of the current Covid-19 crisis that we as a City and World are facing, the Champions want to help give back. Please consider giving to this campaign so that we may help our less fortunate neighbors survive this crisis.
Thousands of Washingtonians have been laid off, furloughed or have seen their hours cut back because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With schools closed for the rest of the school year, many students are forced to go without nutritious breakfasts and lunches. Low-income seniors in need of food assistance are forced to stay home for risk of coronavirus exposure.
Food banks and meal programs across the state are seeing a dramatic increase in demand for food assistance. So much so, the Washington National Guard has been brought in to pack thousands of emergency food boxes to keep up with this demand.
Your support will help feed our community members impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic:
$10 will help provide two weeks of groceries for a home bound senior
$30 will help provide a family of four groceries for four days
$50 will help provide 25 boxes of fresh produce for one of our partner food banks, meal programs or shelters
$100 will help provide 1,000 pounds of nutritious produce
Thank you for your support. Hunger doesn’t have to happen.
