Please join me in supporting Hostage US, a nonprofit where I've been a family support volunteer for some time. Right now all donations will be tripled through June 30; turn your $1 gift into $3.
I'm going to run unaided for 24 hours to do my part in making sure this triple pledge gets maximized, but I can't do it without you! The objective is simple: May 17: Drive to Augusta, New Jersey. Park-up, pitch a tent and get some sleep. The following day, (May 18) wake up and run as many one-mile loops as I can within a 24 hour period. The clock stops at 09:00 on Sunday, May 19.
Please sponsor me now - our team effort will support returning hostages and their families receive free access to vital services, helping them regain their physical, mental and financial health after captivity. Here's a former hostage's experience:
"As a survivor of being taken hostage in Iraq and held for 311 days, I truly understand the importance of Hostage US. Hostages and their families have very limited resources to understand what they will be going through. Hostage US provides a supportive and experienced source of information that can be used to help during the actual hostage situation and the reintegration to normal life after return. My personal experience confirms that recovery after a hostage situation is a long and difficult process. Hostage US has the capability to provide the required support to make the recovery process as effective as possible.”
