Sage was born November 30th, 2016 to Michelle and Luis. Wife and husband, immediate doting parents, now with a beautiful daughter. Ten fingers, ten toes... seemingly a healthy baby was soon going home to continue to grow their family. Unfortunately, their dream shifted drastically and quickly.
Sage suffered from complications of Pulmonary Hypertension, the disease that ultimately took her life just shy of her first birthday. Through their journey, filled with lots of unknown and heartache, Michelle and Luis found solace and comfort in the research and community of The Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
We want to give back... to support this organization's ongoing pediatric research of this disease and their hunt for a cure.
On Monday, April 30th, Mixed Co. Salon will be donating all of the proceeds from every service provided directly to The Pulmonary Hypertension Association for Pediatric Research. To book services, please call 312-929-2627 ASAP. Space will be limited. Each attendee will not only be helping a good cause but going home with a fresh color and/or cut and a fantastic gift bag filled with hair-goodies.
If you're unable to join us that day or would simply like to add to your offering, please donate here.
Also, if our online goal of $7777 is achieved, Dave Spillane, co-founder of Mixed Co. Salon, will dye his entire head of hair the color chosen by the person/team with the largest single donation.
Pediatric pulmonary hypertension (PH) is high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs (the pulmonary arteries). PH is a progressive disease where the pulmonary arteries continue to shrink, making the right side of the heart work harder as it makes the higher pressure needed to force blood through the narrowed arteries.
And remember... SHARING is CARING. Help us spread the word!
