Join me in supporting three fantastic organizations that are working to improve opportunities for recruitment, retention and advancement in STEM fields. I'll be participating in #dayofscience and sharing some of my research and activities I am involved in to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in science. Science-A-Thon is a 5-day celebration of STEM, science professionals, science teachers, science journalists, and anyone else who uses science in their day – from the lab to the field, from learning to teaching, from routine tasks to major discoveries! This year's event will take place October 14-18, 2019.
Science-A-Thon will raise money for 3amazing partner charities that support women’s advancement in STEM: the Earth Science Women's Network (ESWN), Girls Who Code, and the Society of Women Engineers! The goal of Science-A-Thon is to increase visibility of scientists and the important work they do for the public.
