We are excited to kick off our annual school supplies fundraiser for the youths in Brown's Town, St. Ann, Jamaica! Although we still cannot host our camp for the 230 children due to covid protocols which are still in place in Jamaica, we CAN still distribute school kits and textbook scholarships to the youths. This year we are raising funds to giveback 250 school kits to children ages 4-11 years old and kits for our highschool volunteers, better known as the #JrLoveTeam. Along with the kits we will distribute textbook scholarships to youths in Grade 1 and older who have exemplified a 4.0 GPA on their spring report card. These youths are our #DillonMottScholars. They are given the academic award in memory of Mr. Dillon Mott, our founders grandfather who was a community teacher in Orange Hill, Brown's Town, St. Ann.
To all our supporters and donors please join in and help share this fundraiser so the kids in this community can be prepared for their upcoming school year. It is very difficult for us to not be able to host our sumer camp which inspires and motivates the youth, but we can still show them we care about their future and believe in them obtaining a good education. Please consider a $10 donation for 1 school kit, a $20 donation which will cover 2 new school kits or a $50 donation which will cover 1 textbook scholarship. To everyone who has supported our work over the last 10 years, THANK YOU! YOU are the real world changers and we are grateful for your love! Our #LoveTeam volunteers will be distributing the school kits and scholarships in Brown's Town, St. Ann during the week of August 16, 2021.
