The School Spirit Run for Niger is on November 3 at 9am at the James Island County Park. It is a fun 5K run/walk that directly benefits students in Charleston and students in Niger, Africa. Students in Charleston SC are learning empathy and compassion through special presentations teaching them about what it is like to be a student in Niger, the least developed country on the world. Did you know that only 1 in 3 children go to school in Niger? We gather together on race day for fun and activities to celebrate what we have learned and to raise awareness for the children in Niger. We also participate in a friendly 5K competition between local schools to see which school will win the school spirit trophy!! All proceeds from the event will be used to build a new school in Niger. Last year through the School Spirit Run for Niger we were able to build a new preschool! Will you help us build another new school by making a donation please?
