How often do you have the opportunity to invest in someone's spiritual growth? Making God known is essential business, and our students hope to continue their studies. However, the COVID-19 crisis is financially challenging their family priorities. The majority of Faith Bible College students are adult learners with jobs and families attending evening classes. We would love to see our student scholarship fund reach $5000. That would give us the ability to fully or partially scholarship up to 16 students in the 20/21 school year!
MATCHING GIFTS: $3000 in matching donations have been pledged if we reach $3000! Your generosity today is appreciated now more than ever! Thank you so much for your donation!
This Giving Tuesday Now event is critical to Faith Bible College. The majority of our students are adult learners who attend classes in the evening while holding down jobs and supporting families. They have experienced work-hour reductions, layoffs, and financial stress, impeding their ability to continue programs of study. Our students need to be able to continue their education. They are learning, growing, and making such a difference!
One of our students just began serving the Lord in a position in Operation Blessing’s medical care ministry. As a recent Navy retiree, he can mix his medical background with the biblical education he is obtaining at Faith Bible College. Another is regularly preaching in his church, and Faith Bible College is providing him a foundation for his ministry. Others are growing spiritually as audit students and influencing their families by providing a positive, biblical worldview among crumbling family units. But all of our students are involved in some form of ministry. This is critical Kingdom-building work to which our students are equipping themselves to serve.
Over the last two years alone, our students have been on the mission field serving in India, Mexico, and Africa (Kenya and South Africa). Their life-changing stories have been an inspiration to other students unable to travel abroad. They tell of seeing women and children in poverty light up when they hear of Jesus. They witnessed HIV infected women who are turning their lives around through medical help, education, and job training. They taught kids eager to hear of Jesus’ love. Can you imagine what a foreign concept this is to so many? The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. You can ensure that laborers training to serve in His vineyard can continue to study at Faith Bible College.
The first $5000 of our Giving Tuesday Now campaign will strengthen our student scholarship fund. All matching funds or monies received above $5000 will be used at the discretion of the college - whether for scholarships or general funds. Your gift of any size will assist students in financial need from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students have lost jobs, experienced reductions in hours, and have taken cuts in salary. Many will not be able to continue studies in 2020 without financial help.
All donations are tax deductible. Thank you for providing for our students and our college in this time of crisis.
